I know that Elevate is working with Evanston Green Homes via grant money from somewhere to upgrade 5th ward homes to be more energy efficient. I’m not talking about handing out weather stripping, but helping those residents to do things like insulate their attics and crawl spaces. I don’t know if that program gets its funding through this pot o’ gold but even if it does, it is a welcome program for the many houses owned by marginalized community members who could use the upgrade assistance.
So they can sell their homes for more money to the white people moving in. (I kid. Kinda.)

Yeah Elevate and CNT I think are doing this this year, with no help from the EDC.
