There are several educational bodies that claim Cook county tax revenue on my form. District 65, District 202, Oakton College. Oakton has a proper auditor every year (Crowe). Why doesn't D65? Why do we have to bring in a special auditor? I have a feeling this may be more a state law issue, but let's make that happen. We can leverage, I think, Evanston City Council to make that happen.

This is an older story, so there is updated information:
- D65 does have an auditor: Baker-Tilly. You can view the reports on their website.
- Baker-Tilly does like a high level audit of the finances, probably the same thing that is done for Oakton every year. The audit doesn't look at individual line items, it's just a high level thing.
- City Council has basically zero leverage over D65, except in cases like this Monday where they funded a track at the new school
