The way the district continues to sink to new lows actually astounds me. This is but one example. I can’t believe they are lowering the standards of college readiness! It’s all so ludicrous. We need new Board members. Ones who can read and understand numbers and who can spot and call out the nonsense at play. Would you consider putting your hat in the ring? We could really use a smart guy like you.
I’ll be honest; I don’t believe running for the board in this electoral environment is a good idea (until we get RCV in the school board elections). I do believe that at least 2/3 of the current board members mean well and when presented with evidence will make the right decisions. My role is to help surface evidence (assuming there is any). The way to get there is by convincing other parents and community members to stand up to the bullies (like we tell our children). We can be a liberal, equity-driven place that is also operating above-board.
