It could be $100 million in Grant money. It is still a piss poor idea.

The City needs to rethink the climate plan/goals.

Reading this ordinance, it's so arcane and full of metrics, reporting, committees, training, staffing, etc. It's so very clearly written by a consultant or trade group or something to keep the gravy train going. This would make a D65 consultant blush!

The Council needs to sit down and figure out what the climate goals actually are. Like, upgrading all the buildings is fine, just do that. You don't need two committees to that. You want to force private businesses to upgrade? Sure - just modify the building code and grandfather in old buildings. You don't need this convoluted system that Northwestern is going to get around anyway!

Are you attending the City Council meeting tonight? Actually, we need you on the City Council but I know, like me, you don’t like politics. Really grateful you are keeping us informed!

Extreme initiative that will financially burden residential, commercial , small apt. owners, nonprofits, etc.

If this is a mandate from the federal govt. to make all communities "healthier", when I go to another community away from mine, I will still be exposed to an unhealthy environment.

This should be a federally-funded initiative nationwide! Let them pay fr it .! It's still our taxes....
